Visual kei band RENAME will release their first full album on November 4th.
INSTINCT will feature 10 tracks, including three songs from their 2018 debut single miserable. All of the songs were composed by guitarist Q-la (aka Shingo Nakanishi), and they all feature lyrics from frontman AKIRA.
The fourth track, Fula, will feature DIE, who is well known for his work as a keyboardist with groups like hide with Spread Beaver and GLAY, as a guest piano player.
In addition, RENAME have announced that they will be holding a live stream titled PREMIERE OF INSTINCT, where they will perform all of the songs on the album, sometime in October. They will announce the exact date and details about
the platform it will be hosted on in the near future. Fans can keep an eye on their Twitter account for more updates.
RENAME was formed in 2017 by vocalist AKIRA, guitarist Q-la, bassist ka-no and drummer zodd, with three quarters of its line-up coming out of the ashes of the groupMASKED RIDER SYSTEM. zodd left the band
in 2017, and they have been a trio ever since.
While MASKED RIDER SYSTEM was somewhat short-lived as an official band, the members have been active in the visual kei scene for many years, most notably AKIRA, who was the second vocalist of the 90s band MIRAGE, and Q-la, who
was formerly a member of the group EzeːquL and a support member for a number of other projects.
