Pop group Little Glee Monster released their new single Ashiato on September 2nd.
The group wrote Ashiato's lyrics for the middle school section of the “87th NHK All-Japan School Choir Competition”. The music video was shot at a beach in reference to the phrase "bathing in the rising sun" in the lyrics. The five members only had 30 minutes to shoot the video in one cut before the sun rose.
The single includes a total of four tracks, including AIN’T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH, originally sung by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, and a version of the title song with NHK Tokyo Children's Chorus.
Ashiato will be released in two types: a limited edition with a DVD and an A5-size booklet, and a CD-only regular edition. The DVD includes a video recording of BRIGHT NEW WORLD Special on Demand Live, a live show held in June, while the 52-page booklet contains various photos.
The single is available on download and streaming services worldwide.
