New Cover Album from Wakana

Ex-Kalafina vocalist Wakana will release a new cover album on December 9th.

As its title suggests, Wakana Covers ~Anime Classics~ will contain acoustic versions of ten songs from well-known anime films and television series. Half are taken from Studio Ghibli productions, including Yasashisa ni tsutsumareta nara (Kiki's Delivery Service) and Itsumo nando demo (Spirited Away). Ai ni dekiru koto wa mada aru kai (Weathering with You) and Rain (The Garden of Words) are among the non-Ghibli tracks featured.

Previews of Wakana's takes on Kimi wo nosete (Castle in the Sky) and Toki niwa mukashi no hanashi wo (Porco Rosso) can be watched below. Additional previews will be uploaded to her YouTube channel in the coming weeks.
