Pop-rock band FIVE NEW OLD will release a new album on April 7th.
Titled MUSIC WARDROBE, it will feature the single Vent, which was their first to feature lyrics completely in Japanese, and their recent collaboration with coldrain frontman Masato, Chemical Heart. Also included
will be Light of Hope, which was used in a commercial for ECC Junior, and Hallelujah, the theme song for the drama "3B no Koibito", which the band's vocalist
HIROSHI starred in, making his drama acting debut.
Hallelujah was just released as a preceding digital single on January 22nd, and links to download and stream the track are available here.
In a comment about the album, HIROSHI stated that he feels like the members all devoted themselves to creating the music for this release, so it became an album overflowing with imagination. He compares it to the sensation of putting on
new clothes and feeling like a brand new person, which is reflected in the title.
The album will be released in a CD-only regular edition, as well as a limited edition that adds a bonus DVD with live and offshot footage.
The band will promote the release with a tour titled FIVE NEW OLD "MUSIC WARDROBE" Tour, which will kick off at EX THEATER ROPPONGI on April 9th.
The music video for Hallelujah, which shows HIROSHI on a date with Fumika Baba, one of his co-stars from "3B no Koibito", can be viewed below, followed by a lyric video for Chemical Heart (feat. Masato from coldrain).
In a comment about the Hallelujah video, HIROSHI stated that, in the scene where he is chasing after Baba from behind, he actually ran while singing the lyrics acapella, which caught her by surprise, and her startled reaction is
captured in the MV.
