Ayumikurikamaki to Disband

It has been announced that Ayumikurikamaki's nine-year career will be coming to an end.

The idol group recently announced its upcoming disbandment, planned for June 19th. As a consequence, the national tour that was supposed to take place this year won't be held.

Formed in 2012, the group started as Kurikamaki, also known as 'Kuma', which means bear, and thus the members performed wearing bear costumes onstage. Ayumikurikamaki was known for its DJ-inspired music sprinkled with hints of rock, and would have celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. Its latest album Grateful was released on May 5th, 2020 and its last single will be released on May 5th this year, giving fans one last release before the group says goodbye.
