New Album from Kimi to Band

Pop-rock trio Kimi to Band will release a new album on August 15th.

Kimi to Band no 1 will be available in four editions, each containing ten songs. These include several re-recordings of previously released tracks. The album was produced by KoJo Yasuyuki, who has previously composed songs for SCANDAL and various branches of the AKB48 sisterhood.

Kimi to Band was formed in Ehime Prefecture in 2020, with Rio Kiyohara on guitar and sisters Hirami and Mai Oono on bass and drums respectively. The members have made no secret of their relative inexperience, freely admitting they'd been playing their instruments for less than a year when they debuted.

All three women began their music careers as idols. Kiyohara 'graduated' from Last Idol in 2019, and the Oono sisters previously comprised the duo Oono shimai. A cover of their 2019 debut single amulet, which Yasuyuki also produced, appears on Kimi to Band no 1.
