Yoko Kanno to Produce New "Macross Frontier" Song

The Yoko Kanno-produced theme song for "Macross Frontier: Toki no Meikyuu", featuring May'n and Megumi Nakajima, will be released on November 10th.

Toki no meikyuu, a song produced by composer Yoko Kanno for the "Macross Frontier" film of the same name, will be released as a single on November 10th.

Toki no meikyuu features in-character vocals by anison singers May'n and Megumi Nakajima, reprising their respective roles as Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee. The pair also perform the single's as-yet-untitled B-side, likewise produced by Kanno.

The Meikyuu Collector’s edition will include a Blu-ray with footage of May’n and Nakajima performing their 2008 duet Lion at FlyingDog 10th Anniversary Festival -INU Fest!- in 2019. The cover artwork will be drawn by "Macross Frontier" character designer Risa Ebata.
