Horror punk veterans BALZAC will release a new single on December 29th.
Genei will be their first new single in almost exactly a year, following December 2020's Shisen. It is said to offer a hint of what fans can look forward to from
BALZAC's upcoming 13th album, which is scheduled to be completed sometime in 2022.
The single will feature three songs. HERE ALL ALONG is said to combine sorrowful guitar phrases with a driving feel and BALZAC's distinctive sprinting pop sound. The title track is said to offer a stark contrast, fusing together
elements of gothic and horror rock to create a sound that's filled with tension. It's said to draw a clear line from what is typically called "horror punk", showing the latest variation of the "horror world" BALZAC has built so far and hinting at the next
step in their evolution.
The final track is a re-recording of OUT OF THE BLUE, a track from their album TERRIFYING! ART OF DYING - THE LAST MEN ON EARTH II, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2022. The recording is said to capture the live arrangement of the song they have honed after performing the track again and again over the past 20 years.
In addition, BALZAC will be playing their annual one-man concert at Shimokitazawa SHELTER on December 18th this year. The single will be available for sale in advance of the official release date at this show.
