Ikimono-gakari’s vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka will release a new single on
April 17th.
Titled Dekoboko, it is composed by Haruko Nagaya from pop-rock band Ryokuoushoku Shakai and will serve as the opening theme for "A Couple of Cuckoos" anime series, which is set to premiere next April
on TV Asahi.
Kiyoe Yoshioka commented: “I am so honored to be a singer for the song Dekoboko which is the opening theme song of “A Couple of Cuckoos”. Dekoboko is an amazing love song created by Haruko Nagaya.
It will definitely make people excited! Everyone from the band, Ryokuoushoku Shakai, took part in playing the music. I am so glad!! I would be so happy if I could be able to support the main characters in the anime, who are pushed by
destiny, as well as the entire animation of “A Couple of Cuckoos”!! Please enjoy the anime and the song Dekoboko!”
An iTunes/Spotify pre-save campaign has also been launched. Until 23:59 JST on April 16th, every person who pre-saves the song on iTunes or Spotify and fills a form on Ikimono-gakari's website gets a chance to win a Dekoboko pencil
case. More details about how to participate in this promotional campaign are available here.
A preview of Dekoboko can be heard in the “A Couple of Cuckoos” trailer below.
