The single will be available in three editions, which will all include the two aforementioned title tracks. The "Ascendance of a Bookworm" Edition (Limited Edition A) will contain a new song and its instrumental version, as well as the TV size version of Ano Hi no Kotoba. It will also include a booklet presenting a birthday report manga drawn by Makana Watari, who has previously worked with Nao Toyama.
The "I’m Quitting Heroing" Edition (Limited Edition B) will include a secret song and its sort version, as well as the TV size version of Growing. It will come with a DVD featuring new video footage.
The regular edition will be CD-only and will include the two title tracks and the secret song, as well as their instrumental version.
Nao Toyama commented: "I will be performing the opening song of the third season of "Ascendance of a Bookworm". I worked really hard with the anime staff to ensure that Ano Hi no Kotoba matches season 3’s story. In fact, I almost ended up crying many times during the recording. May the people around you find happiness. I hope that this song resonates with everyone who is working hard towards a future that they chose."
A preview of Ano Hi no Kotoba can be heard in the "Ascendance of a Bookworm" trailer below.
