YOSHIKI Partners with Coca-Cola to Launch Two Music-Inspired Energy Drinks
The two new YOSHIKI-inspired energy drinks "Real Gold X" and "Real Gold Y" have launched nationwide in Japan, and he has revealed a music video for a new song inspired by their concept on YouTube.
Recently, X JAPAN drummer YOSHIKI revealed that he has become the first-ever artist to partner with Coca-Cola Japan to launch energy drinks. The two new YOSHIKI-inspired energy drinks "Real Gold X" and "Real Gold Y" launched nationwide across
Japan on May 16th.
"Real Gold X" is inspired by YOSHIKI’s rock side, with the tagline “uplift yourself with rock”. The inspiration for "Real Gold Y" comes from YOSHIKI’s work as a classical pianist, with the motto “enhance your focus with classic”.
YOSHIKI has composed a wide array of classical pieces, from the "Golden Globes" theme song to a piano concerto for the Emperor of Japan.
These new energy drinks are said to be born out of the shared values between Coca-Cola Japan and YOSHIKI. Coca-Cola identifies with YOSHIKI’s philosophy, "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE", an ambition to always try new things, and "the desire
to seriously support the next generation who are taking on challenges".

YOSHIKI has also premiered a one-minute music video for a new song titled Real Gold XY that he composed with the concept of the energy drinks in mind:
