SG Releases New Digital Single Featuring Novel Core

Singer-songwriter/YouTuber SG ("SOGYON") released a new digital single today.

Titled Lotto, the song was produced by up-and-coming sound creator JUGEM and it features a guest appearance from rapper Novel Core.

This is not their first musical connection, as SG was featured on the track LOVE SONG from Novel Core's 2021 album A GREAT FOOL. SG also covered Novel Core's song THANKS, ALL MY TEARS on his YouTube channel earlier this year.

This release is also the first of SG's "#SGproject", a consecutive release campaign that will see him put out a new collaboration track each month. Other artists revealed to be taking part are brother unit Suzukisuzuki, rappers Rude-α and Rinne Yoshida and singer-songwriter Aile The Shota. It was also noted that there will be at least two more artists who have not been revealed yet.

Featuring artists from different countries and genres, "#SGproject" is said to be SG's proof that music has no borders. In a comment about the project, he stated that he hopes it will be able to reach music lovers all over the world.

Half Japanese and half Korean, and originally hailing from South Korea, SG moved to Japan at the age of 15. He has been the vocalist of a multinational band called A11yourDays since 2015. However, due to difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the departure of their guitarist, A11yourDays went on hiatus in 2021 and SG has been focusing on solo activities in recent years. He released his first solo single Lily in December 2020, and he has uploaded both original songs and a number of covers of popular Japanese and Korean tracks to YouTube, including versions featuring his own lyric translations.
