STAMP Releases Japanese Version of "It Could Be Love" Featuring Lyrics from Aile The Shota

Thai singer STAMP released his sixth Japanese-language single Ai no Sei de on June 22nd.

Ai no Sei de is a Japanese version of It Could Be Love, which was featured in the Thai drama "Love By Chance". It is said to be "a wholesome love song with a pure message of committing to loving somebody no matter the hardship, until they finally accept your affection".

The translated lyrics were written by Japanese singer-songwriter Aile The Shota. This is STAMP's first time singing a full song with only Japanese lyrics.

STAMP commented:
“Aile The Shota wrote the Japanese lyrics for this song. Shota provided lyrics that were as close as possible to the Thai version, so they felt familiar to my ears and I could sing them smoothly – I really love them.

Shota also gave me some vocal performance tips in the studio. His considered advice helped me to nail the Japanese pronunciations so that I could give my best performance.”

Aile The Shota commented:
“This is a song filled with love, and I hope that it goes on to receive even greater love. The words composed by STAMP and the sounds they spun pierced my heart. With the beauty of the Japanese language and the beauty of his singing voice, the result is a wonderful song infused with allure.”

STAMP is a singer-songwriter and producer based in Bangkok, Thailand. As a self-professed Japanophile, in summer 2020 he began setting his sights on success in Japan’s music scene. He has previously released five singles sung in Japanese, each of which featured collaborations with artists from the Japanese music scene, including SKY-HI, THE CHARM PARK, chelmico and Awesome City Club.

Aile The Shota was one of the top 10 contestants from "THE FIRST", a boy group audition show organized by SKY-HI's management company/label BMSG. During the show's finale, he was signed to BMSG as a solo artist, and he made his debut this January with the single AURORA TOKIO. He will release his second EP IMA on July 6th.
