WagakkiBand will release a new collection of Vocaloid cover songs on August 17th.
As its title suggests, Vocalo Zanmai 2 is a sequel to the octet's debut album from 2014 and represents a return of sorts to the band's Nico Nico Douga roots. The album will contain eleven tracks, each composed by a different Vocaloid producer.
Most of the songs covered were originally released in the last couple of years, but three tracks pre-date WagakkiBand itself: Kurousa-P's Akahitoha (2008), 164's Ama no jaku (2011), and Mikito-P's Ii aru Fanclub (2012).
The Vocalo Edition will feature a cover of absorb's Fire◎Flower as an exclusive bonus track. The ∞ Edition will contain a live Blu-ray of a nineteen-song set filmed during WagakkiBand's 8th Anniversary Japan Tour ∞ -Infinity-.
The first pre-release single from Vocalo Zanmai 2 - a cover of Tsumiki's phony - dropped digitally on July 1st and can be listened to below.
