Mrs. GREEN APPLE will release a new single featuring a self-cover of "Watashi wa saikyou", a song they composed for "ONE PIECE FILM RED", on November 9th.
Pop-rock band Mrs. GREEN APPLE will release a new single on November 9th.
Their first CD single in about three and a half years, Soranji will feature three songs: the title song, Watashi wa saikyou and Furorijinaru.
Watashi wa saikyou is a self-cover of a song they band composed for the film "ONE PIECE FILM RED", and it was originally performed by Ado.
The single will be available in two editions, both featuring the same tracklist. The regular edition will be CD-only, while the limited edition will come with a bonus DVD featuring a documentary video covering the creation of the single and the
band's activities since beginning "Phase 2" of their career.
Fans may recall that Mrs. GREEN APPLE ended "Phase 1" in July 2020, stopping their activities temporarily and promising to return in a new form. Bassist Kiyokatsu Takano and drummer Ayaka Yamanaka announced their departure
from the band on December 30th, 2021. However, this March, the remaining members, vocalist and guitarist Motoki Ohmori, guitarist Hiloto Wakai and keyboardist Ryoka Fujisawa, started their activities back up as a trio. They released
a new mini-album titled Unity in July.
The music video for Ado's version of Watashi wa saikyou can be viewed below, followed by live footage of Enen and Kimi o shiranai,
two songs featured on the Unity mini-album, recorded during a show held at Pia Arena MM on July 8th.
