TAKESHI UEDA (AA=) will release his first cover album on March 29th.
Titled TEENAGE DREAMS, the album came about as UEDA has been looking back on his musical roots after hitting the 30th anniversary of his major debut back in 2021. The release will be primarily based around music from the 80s punk
and new wave scenes, which inspired him as a teen. It will contain 14 tracks, including songs by artists such as THE STALIN, Dead Kennedys, The Cure and ALLERGY.
The album will be available in two editions. The regular edition will be CD-only, while the limited edition will add a special booklet and a bonus track.
The album is said to have a somewhat different atmosphere from his work with his solo project AA=.
In addition, UEDA recently composed and produced a song called MAGICAL DESTROYER. It will serve as the opening theme of the anime series “Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers”, which will begin airing in April. The song will be performed
by singer and voice actress Aimi, who plays the character Blue in the series, and it features lyrics written by the series' creator JUN INAGAWA and rapper JUBEE. BALZAC's ATSUSHI recorded the guitar solo for it,
while AA= member YOUTH-K!!! handled the drums.
