Visual kei band D have announced that they will be pausing activities in March 2024.
D celebrated the 20th anniversary of their formation in April. With the announcement of their upcoming hiatus, they expressed their gratitude to the fans for supporting them throughout their long career and promised to do their best until the end of their 20th anniversary year.
The band also announced a new single, titled Schwarzwald no kemono, which will hit stores on July 29th. The single's title track is said to be a power ballad revolving around the king from the vampire story that D have been telling since their early years.
The coupling song Weißwald no hanayome, on the other hand, is described as a heavy track with a sad and melodious chorus.
The single will be available in two editions. The regular edition will be CD-only, but it will add a currently untitled instrumental song as an exclusive third track. A deluxe limited edition featuring a bonus DVD with the music video for Schwarzwald no kemono and making-of
footage will available for purchase exclusively at live venues and via mail order.
In addition, D will embark on a nationwide tour this summer. D 20th Anniversary Year Natsu zenkoku One-man Tour 2023 “Schwarzwald no kemono” will kick off at Shinyokohama NEW SIDE BEACH!! on July 15th, and it will end with a show
commemorating frontman ASAGI's birthday at Spotify O-EAST on August 29th.
