Singer-songwriter
PARA will digitally release a new single on November 8th.
THREE COLORS is the first such release from the singer-songwriter, who has recently been mentored by fellow Hakodate native
TERU, vocalist of rock band
GLAY.
The single's title track, which clocks in at almost eight minutes, was co-produced and mixed by
FLOWER FLOWER keyboardist
Jun☆Maruyama.
THREE COLORS features
TERU rapping, reportedly for the the first time on a studio recording. He also plays guitar on the song.
The single's cover artwork is by Shuri Fujikura.
THREE COLORS will serve as the theme song for a week-long joint art exhibition in Hakodate, featuring works by
Fujikura,
TERU, and architect
TAKUMI.
A preview of the MV for
THREE COLORS can be watched below. Note how
PARA holds her head as she sings: this is a method of managing her psychogenic aphonia, a condition that can cause the sudden loss of one's voice.
Elsewhere, PARA — credited as Ziram — recently sang backing vocals on a version of GLAY's Toki wa nami no yo ni, featured on the EP HC 2023 episode 2 -GHOST TRACK E.P-. It can be streamed in full below.
