Quattro Cantare Unveils MV of Schubert's "Ave Maria" Featuring KAMIJO
Visual kei bassist Shigure's new violin-oriented project Quattro Cantare recently released a music video of Schubert's "Ave Maria", featuring German vocals by Versailles's KAMIJO.
Quattro Cantare , the violin-oriented project of bassist
Shigure, recently released a music video of 19th-century composer Franz Schubert's
Ave Maria, featuring guest vocals by
Versailles frontman
KAMIJO.
Shigure has been a steady presence in the visual kei scene since the mid-'90s. He made his live debut as a violinist in July at Spotify O-EAST, participating in
KAMIJO SOLO Live “BLOOD OF VAMPIRE”.
Shigure said: "
Ave Maria is the music that inspired me to start playing the violin. This beautiful melody captivated me. It is said that
Schubert set the music to a poem that was translated into German, so this time KAMIJO had to sing in German.”
“Sometimes people mistake this music for a religious song because of the lyrics of
Ave Maria. But it‘s not a religious song. I expressed it in my own way for you all. I hope you enjoy yourselves.”
