Boy group PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE released a new EP digitally worldwide on January 19th.
99.9 Psychic Radio contains four songs, and it is based around the concept of an imaginary LA-based radio station. It captures the throwback spirit of hip-hop music spreading via mixtapes and radio broadcasts and references the group’s journey
from Japan to the world stage, as they recently held performances in Thailand and Vietnam.
The first track, Temperature, was produced by rapper JP THE WAVY. It’s a love song with an urban beat that incorporates Jersey drills and stylish R&B chords. The lead track, Just like dat (feat. JP THE WAVY), aims to capture the
spirit of 2000s hip-hop, and it features choreography by KAITA, KAZ the FIRE, and PSYCHIC FEVER member Ryushin Handa.
Psyfe Cyper features a freestyle radio-style cypher rap by TSURUGI, Ryoga Nakanishi, JIMMY, and Ryushin Handa, while Rocket (Take You Higher) is a long-distance love song sung by Ren Watanabe, Kokoro Kohatsu
and WEESA.
The cover artwork for the EP was created by DOPE, and it features the members of PSYCHIC FEVER in "Y2K" fashion. It was designed to be reminiscent of a 2000s US hip-hop magazine cover.
