Reality-blurring singer-songwriter KAIKA released a new digital single today.
Decribed as an intimate, "acoustic guitar-guided" track inspired by the creator’s own life, Teddy Bear is said to explore feelings of anxiety in the face of adulthood. The song is said to delve into the "odd, often intense feeling of living
alone for the first time," seeing KAIKA "turn the first steps into her own adulthood over in her mind, working through fears as she tries to find herself in the world." The accompanying video reflects this theme, showing the story
from the perspective of the titular stuffed toy.

The new work comes just after KAIKA took part in "YouTube Music Weekend," a celebration of digital-native artists in the Japanese music scene. For this event, she premiered footage of her debut performance at her virtual alterego KAF's one-man live held
this January.
