The next year will mark the 30th anniversary of KAMIJO, who is active as both the vocalist of visual kei band Versailles and as a solo artist.
In a statement on his social media, the singer announced that he will relocate his base of activities to LA next summer to further develop his creative impulses.
He mentioned that he wants to learn more about film music production in
Hollywood and incorporate that into his own music, as well as better meet the expectations of his international fans.
KAMIJO emphasized, "There are many reasons for the move, but the sole purpose is to experience what I've
never experienced before, to grow, and to create the best music possible."
To reassure fans in his home country, he added, "Although the physical distance between us will increase, music can now be delivered from anywhere. I promise to continue
bringing my unique music to everyone in Japan."
KAMIJO also stated that, starting in January 2025, he will visit as many places in Japan as possible to express his gratitude for the past 30 years to his fans.
