DIR EN GREY Announce Two US Shows

DIR EN GREY will be returning to the US for the first time in about five and a half years in April 2025.

They will be playing two back-to-back headlining shows at The Belasco in Los Angeles on April 8th and 9th. The title of these shows will be TOUR25 WHO IS THIS HELL FOR?, the same as their Japan tour starting in November, but they will also have the subtitle [mode of VULGAR & Withering to death.], showing that the band intends to pull out songs from some of their classic albums as well as their recent works.

The show on April 8th will be the [mode of VULGAR] date, highlighting songs from their 2003 album VULGAR, while the April 9th show will highlight songs from 2005's Withering to death instead.

Guitarist Kaoru commented:

"Just like it happened for the European tour we went on in March, we couldn’t make the project of coming to the US in 2022 as part of our 25th anniversary activities come true either. And now, with so much going on, it is quite difficult to do a proper tour, but (we thought) if it’s for a single show, then it’s doable. It will be a little bit different from the FROM DEPRESSION TO ________ series; I think it will become a show where the songs from each of those eras mix up and blend with nowadays DIR EN GREY(‘s music).”
