Maaya Sakamoto Releases "Nina the Starry Bride" Opening Theme
Maaya Sakamoto's opening theme for the anime series "Nina the Starry Bride" is out on digital platforms worldwide now, with a CD release to follow on November 6th.
Maaya Sakamoto released nina, her opening theme for the anime series "Nina the Starry Bride," digitally worldwide on October 10th. The full version of the song's music video was also unveiled on the same day.
The music video was directed by Yasuyuki Yamaguchi, who has worked on many of Sakamoto’s music videos in recent years. Its concept is said to be a car chase revolving around Sakamoto’s identity.
Sakamoto penned the lyrics for nina herself, and the song will also be released on CD on November 6th. The CD version of the single will also feature the coupling song Sekai no Himitsu, which features lyrics by Yumi Uchimura of la la larks, with composition and arrangement by Swedish sound creator Rasmus Faber. This will mark Faber's first collaboration with Sakamoto in nine years, following up on Waiting for the Rain. Sekai no Himitsu is also
scheduled for digital release on November 6th.
The CD single will be available in two editions. The standard edition will be CD-only, while the limited edition will add a Blu-ray disc with live footage of three songs performed by Sakamoto at Kyoto Music Expo 2023 in Umekoji Park, an event
organized by Quruli in October 2023.
