REIKO, a solo singer signed to SKY-HI's management company/record label BMSG, will release his first EP on December 4th.
Titled Debut, it will contain seven tracks. These will include the previously-released songs Itazura, No More, Neverland, So Good, BUTTERFLY and Hanggang Kailan pa, as well as a new track
called First Christmas that will feature a guest appearance from BE:FIRST member JUNON. First Christmas was penned by singer-songwriter Shota Shimizu, and it's said to be a Christmas song that expresses
the happiness of spending the holiday with a romantic partner for the first time. The song will also be released on streaming platforms on November 29th ahead of the physical release.
The EP will be available in two editions. The regular edition will be CD-only, while the limited edition will add a bonus DVD with live footage from REIKO 1st Fan Meeting -So Good with you-, which was held in Tokyo this June, and behind
the scenes footage, as well as all of the music videos REIKO has released to date.
In addition, REIKO will be holding a one-man live titled REIKO's Winterland at Billboard Live YOKOHAMA on December 16th.
REIKO first came to public attention in 2021 as one of the finalists from BMSG's boy group audition show "THE FIRST." While he was not selected to become a member of BE:FIRST, he was
offered a trainee contract with BMSG during the show's finale, and he eventually opted to pursue a debut as a solo artist rather than a position in the company's second group MAZZEL. He made his official solo debut in 2023 with the single BUTTERFLY. Since then, he has also
been active as part of a unit called BMSG POSSE, which brings together all of BMSG's solo artists, including SKY-HI himself, and he also collaborated with MAZZEL on the song ICE, which reunited him with his close friend from "THE FIRST," RAN, as well as
SEITO and KAIRYU, who he also worked with closely during his time as a trainee.
The music videos for BUTTERFLY and MAZZEL's ICE feat. REIKO can be viewed below, followed by BMSG POSSE's MV for Girlfriend. Turn on captions to watch with English subtitles.
