MKMF 2008 Winners

Today Mnet KM Music Festival took place to award the most successful artists in 2008. The first group to receive an award was Davichi as "Best Female Newcomers" followed by performances by the nominees of "Best Male Newcomer". These nominees performed different winning songs from the previous winners, for example SHINee performed DBSK's Rising Sun, 2PM Super Junior's U and 2AM performed a medley of G.O.D songs. Winner for "Best Male Newcomer" was SHINee. After this Brown Eyes rocked and took the "Best R'n'B Ballad" award.

DBSK won the "Auction Netizen Award", "Best Style Award" and "Mobile Popularity Award" followed by Lee Hyori receiving award for "Best Dance Song" for U-Go-Girl. SG Wannabe and Kim Jong Wook received "Best Original Sountrack" award performing two songs live due to SG Wannabe being in Japan. Shin Seung Hoon was awarded with "MKMF Special Award". Big Bang fans expected their idols to win "Best House and Electronica", although this was not the case. The award for "Best House and Electronica" went to Jewelry with her song One More Time. Epik High were awarded with "Best Hip-Hop" and Nell got the "Best Rock" award.

After this Big Bang and Lee Hyori performed their joint stage together, making it a full success. After this, it was time to crown the best male and gemale artists: happy winners were Seo Taiji and Lee Hyori. On the behalf of H.O.T, Moon Hee Jun picked up the "MKMF 10 Anniversary Commemorative Award". DBSK, the Rising Gods of the East, showed a bit more of their popularity giving a good home for "Overseas Viewers Award" living up to their name. One of the biggest suprises of the year, Wonder Girls, took the award of "Best Female Group", followed by "Best Video" and their hit Nobody made it to "Song of the Year". Followed by Big Bang taking the awards for "Best Male Group" and "Artist of the Year". The award show was completed with DBSK, this time taking the award for "Album of the Year".
