To celebrate their 20th anniversary,
B'z have announced the release of two best-of albums. The first,
B'z The Best "ULTRA Pleasure", will feature two CDs and is slated for release on June 18th. Titled
The First RUN and
The Second RUN, the discs will cover a multitude of tracks from releases both early and later in the band's career, for a total of thirty songs. Some of the songs included are
ALONE,
Negai,
Girigiri chop and
BANZAI. The album, which will also be released in CD+DVD format, will include ten live videos taken from performances from 1992 to 2005.
The album will also contain new versions of songs, including
BAD COMMUNICATION -ULTRA Pleasure Style- and
Pleasure 2008 -jinsei no kairaku-.
Their second best album,
B'z The Best "ULTRA Treasure", which is slated for release on September 17th, will also contain thirty tracks. The main difference regarding this album however, is that
B'z fans will be the ones to decide which songs will be featured on the album. The selection process for the upcoming album will be conducted between April 22nd and June 30th and can be found via the duo's
special website. Fans are asked to submit their nickname, location, age, gender and three songs of their choice.
It is a worthy side-note that according to the Oricon, the songs that will be featured on
B'z The Best "ULTRA Pleasure" have had combined sales of around 25.9 million copies.
