TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA Releases

Ska group TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA started the commemorations of their 20th anniversary in 2009, and now, to put an end to the celebrations, the band has announced the release of three new items.

The first of the releases is the single Ryuusei to Ballad, which is set to drop on January 27th. The main song features the vocals of Okuda Tamio, solo singer-songwriter and frontman of rock band UNICORN. The single will also feature this song's instrumental counterpart and the b-side Castillo de Ainsa.

On March 10th, the band has planned to release their 15th album and a new live DVD, which are both untitled as of now. Regarding the album, it will feature both their newest singles Ryuusei to Ballad and KinouKyouAshita, plus a new version of Kimi to boku, from their debut album Skapara Toujou, with re-worked lyrics and arrangements, this time featuring the accordion played by keyboardist Oki Yuuichi.

As for the DVD, it will feature live footage from TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA's 2009 Europen tour, as well as scenes from the August event TOKYO SKA JANBOREE, which was the first festival organized by the band. Recording scenes, rehearsal footage and interview with the members will also be included on the DVD.
