The decision for the hiatus was made by the band, which consist of ryo, utA and hati. The reason for the hiatus was that this would be the best course to take as there would be a possible line-up change. The band was also evolving at a rapid pace that the band felt that a break would be beneficial for the sake of the band's existence and growth. This cease of activity would be advantageous to the band as they could restart their musical journeys and re-evaluate ways to improve their sound.

9GOATS BLACK OUT hopes that fans would see this as a progressive step towards a bright future. The band's website and shop will remain open throughout this period and will be updated regularly for the benefit of fans. Until the day of 9GOATS BLACK OUT's resurrection when band members will be able to show the fruits of this temporary hiatus, members hope for fans' continuous support.

The band has recently released the album TANATOS on March 24th.
