Plastic Tree to Go Major

Visual rock band Plastic Tree have announced that they are to sign to major label Victor FlyingStar Records.

The announcement was made through the band's official website following a countdown to the news, and it was also revealed that Plastic Tree will celebrate their 15th anniversary next year with a performance at the legendary Nippon Budokan on April 14th. The label transition has been timed to coincide with this anniversary, and their first major release is set to be a single. Further information about this single will be revealed closer to its release. Plastic Tree were previously signed to the major label WARNER MUSIC JAPAN back in 1997, but returned to the indies scene in 2001 when this contract expired.

Plastic Tree has a busy schedule throughout December, with their final 2011 Ammonite tour date taking place on December 9th, after which they will participate in the event Boo Xmas 11 alongside SADS, Pay money To my Pain, MIYAVI- and MAN WITH A MISSION. They will then hold two special end of year concerts at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL on the 28th and 29th, before finishing up the year by taking part in the final day of the huge event COUNTDOWN JAPAN 11/12 at Makuhari Messe on December 31st.
